Snow Electric Chu Commission

This is a commission for SnowKachu of his pikasona, casting a bit of ice/electric in the arctic!  He was pretty fun to draw, especially since he is sassier and fluffier than your average Pikachu - I naturally like to draw furry characters fluffy so I liked adding the extra tufts of fur.  For the mountains, I couldn't decide whether to detail them or leave them more pop up book-esque - I tried the details but it just seemed to detract the eye from the pikachu himself, and once I started adding blue washes to the background, it pushed the mountains farther back and it felt more appropriate to keep them simplified.  The icy water was pretty fun!  It's a challenge to make water look like water, and not like gel, but I liked how it came out.  The lightning and snow being kicked up was fun to do, as well as the pose itself.  I like drawing dynamic poses.
