Metroid: Samus Aran Commission

This was a commission I received maybe about two years ago during one of the conventions, and I had been meaning to upload this image here since then.  Like any other commissions I've done at the conventions, this one was taken with my cell phone camera before I handed it off to my client.  It was sketched with a non-photo blue pencil, detailed with a mechanical pencil (I'm partial towards mechanical pencils because they never need to be sharpened...), inked with Microns and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.

I've never really played much of the Metroid games, but I do very much like that Samus wears appropriate armor (and not bikini armor) and is such a tough bad ass.

I'd like to someday make a poster based on this concept.
