FS: Cain Clothing Options

Description

For Cain, I have had some suggestions to play around with his designs, with number 2 as an interpretation of :iconchibikasai:'s idealization of Cain. I tried to keep in mind that he was a knight, a nobleman, but also very poor. I wasn't sure if he should have his old clothes from Kantarok, or if he had found something newer before coming to Duero. I figured armor would be a bit much, and I also wanted to keep in mind that Cain needs to be able to eat in it, sleep in it, fight in it (and occasionally bathe...possibly in it...)

Large, steel-toed boots and thick gloves were a commonality of all of Cain's designs. Being a knight who handles a sword, I would think it'd be preferred to wear gloves. And being someone who mostly relies on strength and endurance in a fight, I would think steel toed boots wouldn't be nearly as grueling on Cain as it would be on just about anyone else. The more curved boot designs were based off of :iconchibikasai:'s ideas. The pointed collar shirts were based off of some of the medieval costumes I pulled up during research. I'm not so sure if collars like that existed back then (and I couldn't find anything beyond costumes which had the design), but because I found more than one medieval costume with it, I figured I'd give it a try.

The bottom right image was based off of a search where I looked for 'off duty' type of Knights. What do knights wear when they're not fully suited up with armor? The dragon design on the chest is just a quick one that was thrown on as a standing spot for a crest of Kantarok.

Cain's adjust proportions were based off of :iconsaetje:'s suggestion that his height looked strange because his head/body proportions were the same as the others - since he's taller, he should have had a smaller head in comparison. She said it made him looked scaled to fit instead of that actual height. It made a lot of sense, and I've tried to fix the proportions of any character who was especially tall or short, so that their head size made more sense with their height.

I like 4 the best, definitely based on the description you gave of his clothing needs. XP Really don't care for 9, unlike some others- I know that tabards or tunics with an emblem on them like that would make sense, but in this simple animated style, it looks a bit superhero-y. XD
