Axion Commission

This was a commission I did for AFO 2014, for a gentleman's X-Men fan character, Axion.  He is meant to be a descendent of Storm, and has powers similar to hers (though I believe he controls the elements of the weather, not necessarily tied to the weather itself?  He was very description of the outfit and weapon, so I wanted to make the post dynamic, but without too much foreshortening - the outfit and weapon were to be shown in all their glory. 

It was sketched in non photo blue pencil, inked with Microns and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Before giving it to my client, I took a snapshot of it with my camera phone.  My table neighbor is an almost purely traditional artist and she always complained how scanners and cameras butcher traditional work.  I definitely can see what she means.
